Schneider Associates’ MMNPL Survey data cited in Bruce Horovitz article in USA Today
Schneider Associates’ research from the Most Memorable New Product Launch survey was cited in the January 10 edition of USA Today. The article, titled “Trend Alert: 10 New Products to Watch for in 2012,” includes data about the effectiveness of social media and how the quantity of people who are using this platform as a source for new products has grown.
In the article, Schneider Associates is mentioned with its research partner, Sentient Decision Science, stating that the number of people using social media as a source for new product information more than doubled over the past year alone, from 17% in 2010 to 40% in 2011.
Marian Salzman, a leading trend spotter at EuroSCG, follows up this statistic stating, “Smart is the ultimate weapon in social volleyball. It’s the new game people play, lobbing 140 characters here, there and everywhere.”
