The New York Times and The Boston Globe Highlight Zeo’s Innovative Product and Effective PR Campaign.

On Friday, Feb. 28, 2010, The New York Times Bits Blog featured a one-on-one interview with health tech investor and space tourist, Esther Dyson, who named Zeo as one of the top products making waves in the industry. Dyson explains how, thanks to technology, the health market and industry is taking off, and self-monitoring tech products, like the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach, are the next big thing to emerge from this promising market.

On Sunday, Feb., 28, 2010, Boston Globe columnist Scott Kirsner reviewed the marketing tactics and PR techniques employed by a handful of consumer electronics start-ups in the Boston area. Zeo Inc.’s cofounder, Ben Rubin, who was interviewed in the article, discusses the tremendous results the Newton company has received through a collaborative approach to marketing. Zeo’s Personal Sleep Coach has raised more the $14 million in venture capital in part by successfully generating positive buzz, including a feature on the Today Show. According to Rubin, it was this nationally televised segment that gave the company by far the biggest sales bump they’ve seen.

Schneider Associates is extremely proud of the launch campaign and media relations blitz we executed on behalf of our client, Zeo, and even more pleased that the effort has driven sales. A personal benefit of our work with Zeo is we’re all sleeping better thanks to understanding our ZQ scores and heeding the wisdom of the Zeo coaching program. We’ve taken the Zeo motto—the more you know, the better you sleep—to heart. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in our performance thanks to experiencing more and better sleep.
