Philip Pennellatore Named President of Schneider Associates
Schneider Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Pennellatore to President. Taking the top spot as Schneider Associates’ President, Pennellatore is now leading the firm with CEO Joan Schneider, who held the title since the agency’s inception in 1980. Pennellatore, who joined the firm in 2000, has also served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. Pennellatore will oversee all aspects of agency management including client service, operations and finance and works closely with senior staff to plan and execute the agency’s long term strategic growth and direction.
In addition, Pennellatore directs the agency’s Corporate, Education, Nonprofit and Public Affairs practice groups. Pennellatore’s deep background in communications includes developing innovative media relations and public affairs campaigns for businesses, public entities and other organizations, as well as promoting and protecting their interests and reputation at the local, regional, and national level.
In 2001, Pennellatore launched the firm’s nationally recognized land use practice, which facilitates the approval of millions of square feet in new retail, R&D, commercial and residential development, and has included the completion of many of the largest mixed-used projects in New England.
Prior to joining SA, Pennellatore served as a communications consultant on many high profile projects including The Big Dig, the opening of the Third Harbor Tunnel and the approval of the extension of the Commuter Rail Line on the South Shore. Pennellatore began his career as a journalist, first as an editorial assistant and contributing reporter with The Boston Globe, then as a staff reporter for the Mariner Newspapers covering news and events in several Massachusetts communities.
