Hebrew SeniorLife’s Alzheimer’s Buddies Program Featured in The Boston Sunday Globe

The Boston Globe recently ran a piece on the Alzheimer’s Buddies program at Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL) as the cover story of the Lifestyle Section. The program pairs Harvard student volunteers with Hebrew SeniorLife residents who have Alzheimer’s, and they meet weekly to just hang out. The one-year-old program was started by Harvard pre-med student Ryan Christ. Jeffrey Robbins, a social worker in the neurology department of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, supervises the event.

Alzheimer’s Buddies is just one of the many great programs that Hebrew SeniorLife offers its residents to provide them with a richer experience and better overall rehabilitation stay.
